Teach students how to slow down, look longer, and ask the right questions whenever and wherever they encounter new sources of information. Whether they be primary sources, news headlines, or even chatbot responses, students can use a versatile tool called the Question Formulation Technique (QFT) to question and navigate sources of all kinds. Join us to experience the QFT and the free resources at the Library of Congress (loc.gov) and walk away ready to support students in formulating, improving, and pursuing their own questions for primary source analysis and more. Participants will see how QFT can be a discrete activity that sparks curiosity and critical thinking or a springboard to larger discussions, projects, and units of study.
