Chris Orchard is senior communications associate at The Right Question Institute. He helps develop and implement the organization’s communications goals and tell stories about the institute’s work and impact.
Chris has produced marketing and communications content for a variety of organizations, including EF Education First, the City of Somerville, Massachusetts, and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He began working with RQI, as a freelancer, in 2015.
Previously, as a community journalist, Chris served as editor of Somerville Patch, a local news website. His journalism has appeared in South End News, Bay Windows, Huffington Post, AOL.com, Allston-Brighton TAB, Dover-Sherborn Press, Inside Lincoln Park, Inside, bostonherald.com, and artandculture.com. He also worked for ABC News.
Chris earned a master’s degree (with distinction) in media and communications from City, University of London. He has a bachelor’s from Middlebury College, where he graduated cum laude with a double major in history and Spanish. He was news director of the college radio station. He lived in Switzerland for three years and spent another three in London, where he volunteered once a week with the British Red Cross Refugee Support Service.
