“Building a Culture of Inquiry by Teaching All Students to Ask Their Own Questions” – A Community of Practice (CoP) with the New Mexico Public Education Department
Date: Thursday, November 3, 2022
Time: 3:00pm – 4:00pm MT
Speakers:
- Sarah Westbrook – Right Question Institute
Building a culture of sustained inquiry in the social studies classroom prepares students to be engaged civic actors for life, and it all begins with questions. Join the Right Question Institute to learn the Question Formulation Technique (QFT), a simple, powerful strategy that teaches all students how to ask, improve, and pursue their own questions. In this interactive session, participants will experience the strategy for themselves, explore examples from social studies classrooms across grade levels, and leave ready to implement it the next day.
