“Help Your Students Learn to Ask Good Questions”
Presenters:
David Rosen, Co-founder and Steering Committee Member, Urban Alliance for Adult Literacy;
Luz Santana, Co-founder, Right Question Institute
Sandy Madero, Director of Operations, Right Question Institute;
Description: This interactive session will provide you with a concrete method to help adult learners learn how to formulate and use questions strategically. When adult educators deliberately teach this skill, their students feel new agency and confidence, strengthen their ability to think and learn independently, and develop their skills to advocate for themselves in many areas of their lives. We will also share how a Community of Practice of adult educators has been using this method, called the Question Formulation Technique, in their work for student empowerment in the classroom and beyond.
