Erin Block a student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Having earned her EdM in Prevention Science and Practice last year, she is currently pursuing licensure for school guidance counseling. Prior to coming to HGSE, Erin taught pre-K in Atlanta and did program evaluation for an education non-profit in Massachusetts. In her experiences in and out of the classroom over the past several years, Erin has become passionate about empowering young people’s personal identities and sense of agency. The advocacy lens she seeks to employ with students resonates strongly with the Right Question Institute’s frameworks of asking questions to self-advocate. Erin is excited to engage in RQI’s strategy work to expand her own understanding of the work that educators are doing to infuse advocacy into their work.
