Sandy Madero is RQI’s director of operations. Sandy’s work focuses on ensuring that all administrative systems at RQI are well-designed to support the ongoing work of staff who have primary responsibility for the programmatic implementation of RQI strategies across various fields.
Sandy was born and raised in Venezuela and received her bachelor’s degree in economics from Universidad de Alcala in Spain. She has worked as a business consultant and administrative manager for the private sector for several years. Seeking a career with a mission where she could apply her business knowledge, Sandy came to the United States to pursue an MBA in nonprofit management and a master’s in sustainable international development at Brandeis University.
Sandy has also worked as a social enterprise manager of a business venture that provided job opportunities along with case management support to homeless and low-income women of the Boston area. She is passionate about building relationships and communities that support underserved populations.
Currently, Sandy also serves as a volunteer at the New England Association for Colombian Children (NEACOL) as chair of the fundraising committee.
