RQI will be conducting a workshop at The Institute of Common Power’s 2024 Educator Symposium in Selma, Alabama. The symposium will engage educators in the Institute’s approach to learning called Movement Learning – to learn by going to historical sites pivotal to nation-defining movements. Centering around African American history, race, while also its connection to the nation’s broader, collective history, educators will visit historical sites across Alabama, hearing from renowned scholars and NAACP leaders.
RQI’s session during the symposium will introduce the QFT on the theme of “taking action,” providing educators with a tool to translate symposium insights into classroom initiatives.
