“Student Research Panel” on Saturday, November 20, 2021
12:15-1:00pm Eastern Time
Join National History Day and the Right Question Institute to discuss resources to help engage in student research. The session will begin with an opportunity to actively experience the Question Formulation Technique (or QFT), a step-by-step process for teaching all students to ask, improve, and use their questions to drive their learning. You will learn from experienced teachers who have implemented the QFT with primary sources to drive learning in their classrooms. We will share resources and activities from the new Guide to Student Research and Historical Argumentation, co-developed by National History Day and the Library of Congress. We will discuss sharing the guide’s strategies with teachers and students with the Texas History Day program. Come with your questions and leave with new strategies and resources.
