QFT in Chemistry – Break the Ice with Mystery Blocks

One way to align this lesson with a pedagogy style supported by NGSS is to have students observe the phenomenon and then generate questions about what they saw. This engages students asking questions, one of the science and engineering practices. The question formulation technique (QFT) that I discussed on ChemEd X last month, can be used to develop student questions.
